This determined group of women come from Esukuta, home of WILK’s Esukuta Community Borehole Project. They started out tentative at first, unsure of their ability to select and care for high quality livestock. With experience, their confidence grew and they become one of the most improved and successful groups.
Oloirien Women’s Livestock Keeper Group
21 women from Lorngosua, Imbirikani, got together to do group savings and help each other move forward, firmly believing in the collective power of women to help each other. They jumped on WILK’s LAB training and loan opportunity and have developed into a smart, powerhouse of a group, combining the powerful discipline of saving money with skillful livestock keeping.
Naboishu Oloilalei Group
An extremely disciplined and unified group from remote Oloilalei, under a strong chairman, Olubi Sayioki, this group led all the groups in profitable livestock keeping.
Imisigiyio Women II Livestock Farmers Group
Motivated women’s group from Imisigiyio in the Mt.Kilimanjaro highland, home of WILK’s first-born clean water project, Imisigiyio Community Borehole. Mepal joined the program but conflicts among their group forced them to drop out.
